I like the look of this '55, but it still needs the CRL fins I am usually really dissappointed by the way the motor is done up, but this one looks really good to me. A nice combo of new and old. Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing about the interior. I really don't like it or the dash. But the rest is quite nice.

For your consideration is this one of a kind 1955 Dodge Coronet! She has been tastefully restored with many custom touches. The '55 features a period correct HEMI engine, Air Ride suspension, modern auto trans, rack & pinion, 9" posi rear end, custom suede interior, and an exceptionally straight body.

The exterior is painted gloss black and the body is extremely straight (black paint tells all)! It was stripped to bare metal and sprayed with PPG black base and clearcoat. There are only a few minor flaws. There is one paint bubble on the drivers side rear fender wheel arch and there are a few minor scratches in the clear. The bumpers and trim have been re-chromed. The front, rear, and side emblems have been removed and the tail lights are custom. The Ridler wheels are staggered 18” front and 20” rear. The glass has a subtle tint and is in good condition as you can see from the pictures. This car has Air Ride suspension and is able to drop nearly touching the ground. With the airbags at full pressure, the car sits high near it’s stock height.

The custom interior of this Dodge was done by Sabatini Coachwork. The front and rear bench seats are wrapped in Ultraleather with a suede headliner. The dashboard features custom pin-striping by Coopstriping. The gauges are all Auto Meter with exception of the original speedometer. The stereo and air compressor controls are hidden in the glove box. Overall, the interior fit and finish is show quality.

Mechanically, this Dodge has a 331 HEMI bored .030 over. It features a Hot Heads aluminum intake, MSD ignition, MSD distributor, aluminum radiator with a SPAL electric fan and a turbo 350 transmission. It rides on a FatMan subframe with power rack & pinion steering, stainless-steel upper and lower control arms, power disc brakes with chrome booster and master cylinder. The rear end is a Ford 9? with limited slip (posi-traction) and 3.23:1 gearing. The engine bay is detailed and presented well especially with the custom air cleaner.

If you are looking for a bagged hot rod Hemi Dodge of the 50s, there is no need to spend 70-100k on a build. Buy this one, its done and ready to blow everyone away at cruise night. It doesnt matter if your a Ford or GM person, this car appeals to ALL enthusiasts. Check out the pictures and read the description. We are known for having cars better than described!

This 1955 Dodge Coronet is held on consignment and is not owned by Fort Pitt Classic Cars. As the buyer you are responsible for the transportation, storage and any fees after the sale.
