I use my cars as daily drivers, and I can appreciate having thse old cars modernized to a certain extent.... but this? I mean, it isn't terrible, but it't not really good either. That interior is really offputting; it can't decide if it wants to be modern or if it wants to look vintage. One or the other. Get rid of that Lancer R/T emblem on the passenger side airbag too because it looks really silly.

Also, $44,500 for a car that no longer has it's stock interior and sits on a small truck chasis? Yikes. Not sure what the logic is behind that high of a price tag. Even a fully restored original wouldn't fetch that high of a price tag unless there was something rare or special about it.

Yuck...I'm not a purist but that doesn't mean a poorly done modification is OK...

the wheelbase is not even correct... the front wheels don't fit. it looks like the wheel will hit when you turn it....

Yup, those front wheels need to be an inch or two forward for the car to look right. What I don't understand is why it still has push buttons when the drive train is all 2000 Dodge Dakota? It still has the column shifter and gear indicator in the dash, so what the hell do the push buttons do? When you change a car that drastically, you better love it forever as it is going to be tough for the seller to get his money back.

Here are the pics of when it was for sale a couple/few years ago, looks like only a few things have changed like the exhaust tips and the stupid R/T badge. I thought it was listed around $14k then, but I do have the memory of a goldfish though, either way it looks like the usual dealer 100%++ markup. I tried to find the original ad using Google image search, but it didn't work.

I wonder if people that build cars this way give any thought whatsoever that using a modern chassis, and especially interior, will become dated very quickly. Not to mention most car guys think it looks like s**t from the start.

Having said that, the paint looks excellent! I really like the colors. And it looks like it was done by someone with skills, not just some hack. When it was for sale the 1st time, I was trying to talk myself into buying it and setting it on my 4 door sedan chassis.

The cosmetics are pretty good. But at the end of the day it's a hacked up Dodge Dakota with a '57 Dodge shell on it. The wheel location issue is a little concerning, and there's no telling what is hidden under all those pretty painted panels.

You're going to have to find a novice car enthusiast to have their soul stirred by a 60 year old car on 20 year old chassis. The price is pretty steep, seeing as you can find a pretty good restored '57 Dodge for that amount. I'm sure the original build cost much more than that. Heck, professional paint and chrome alone can get close to that.

Its no way worth near that money. I can see someone giving it a shot at 14k.

That car doesn't look horrible, the body looks good but they car is mounted on the chassis to high, plain and simple and that's not an easy fix.

you need to really move those front wheels forward 2 inches and then lower the car. This would allow it to have a near factory stance and then it would be a little more doable.

he cant lower the front or the wheels will hit when he turns, and he is trying to keep it level so the whole car is jacked up. You shouldn't do this unless your prepared to do it correctly, if you don't you end up with a lower value car.
