Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 10177 Location: Lower Mainland BC | The Retainer, Spark plug tube seal are items 15 and 87 in the diagram below. That leads to Section 8-36-138 in the parts list and that reveals the PN as 1324 941. You should have eight seals too, items 16 and 86, which go to 8-36-137 and PN 1324 940. PN is 1324 941 which crosses to an Atlas 825-465 Retainer, spark plug tube seal if that helps. Collectors Auto says they have one (or more) NOS 1324 940s and 941s http://www.collectorsautosupply.com/query.asp?make=Mopar+Fullsize&y... (Ctrl F on 1324940 and 1324941). Len Dawson doesn't list the 1324941 but he does list the 1324940 seals at $4 each: http://www.dpmotorparts.com/inventory_4_b.cfm S-99 23 1324940 SPARK PLUG TUBE SEAL 52-58 8 CYL 4 Edited by 56D500boy 2018-01-14 10:54 AM (HemiEnginePartsMap.jpg) (HemiEnginePartsMapIndex.jpg) (HemiEngineParts8-36-138_RetainerSparkPlugTubeSeal_PN1324941.jpg) Attachments ---------------- HemiEnginePartsMap.jpg (170KB - 101 downloads) HemiEnginePartsMapIndex.jpg (164KB - 97 downloads) HemiEngineParts8-36-138_RetainerSparkPlugTubeSeal_PN1324941.jpg (236KB - 88 downloads)

They are usually in the row that had all the nuts and bolts in bins as well as smaller trays w/hardware of all sorts. Also check www.McMasterCarr.com website. They also carry a complete line of that sort of stuff What's the I.D. of those washers? Edited by finsruskw 2018-01-14 10:24 AM

DP = Len Dawson's Deception Pass Mopar parts I presume. I know how Collector's works. They only have some parts, the rest are in a dealer network that they have database links to. Collector's website is accessible and will come up on a Google part number search whereas DP never does. My strategy is to find the PN (as I did above) and then check with Collectors via an online search of their database. If they say they have it, then I check DP and my local NOS guy (100,000 NOS Mopar parts) (because might be one of the ones that Collectors say "they" have it). I prefer my local guy but sometimes he doesn't have what I need. I have bought from DP but never from Collectors because I know their prices are too high.

Veteran Posts: 145 | The retainers on the Desoto I am working on average around 1.400" Id and 2.00" OD. Any competent hardware store should be able to get machine bushings that size if they don't stock them.

Veteran Posts: 241 Location: Southern CA | Thanks for the replies guys, those exploded engine diagram’s and data are very useful. The retainer measures at 1.93” OD 1.4” ID and 0.1” thick. I looked at some bushings but haven’t found the right fit. I’ve been looking on epay but haven’t seen any, other than with a set of tubes. Send a link if you have one. The actual seals are available from Napa made by Felpro. Collectors has them listed as “call for price and availability.” I’ll give them a call tomorrow after I check with DP.

Veteran Posts: 241 Location: Southern CA | Collectors Auto has them in stock for $15 + $4 shipping, so I bought one. Thanks.
