Did 501's come with not hubcaps?   its an unflattering pic of the 501 but the only one they had i guess?

Fords, well into the 60's had terribly spongey suspension .... cornering
was like slalom racing in a tugboat, and brakes were lame at best, worthless
on the 2nd hard hit. You can make any car GO fast. HOW it goes fast is
the real question.
