The car was built at the Lynch Road plant in Detroit. Thus the serial number has no letter for the assembly plant :
L - Model Year - 1958
P - Car Line - Plymouth
2 - Engine / Chassis - V8
1552 - Sequential serial number, starting at 1001. Car is 552nd Plymouth V8 built at Lynch Road.
Engine Number - LP8-1496
L - Model Year - 1958
P - Car Line - Plymouth
8 - Engine - 318-cid V8
1496 - Sequential serial number, starting at 1001. Engine is 496th Plymouth 318 V8 built at Mound Road engine plant.
As I say there are a few things to be clarified.

Location: Blackpool, United Kingdom. | Thanks Bill,
looking at the date on card being 1st September to the build date of 17th September, I wonder if they took there time in building this one as it was on the show stand for the 1957 motor show? Here are some better close ups.
Thanks Paul.
