I have heart issues (for reals) and when I saw that the 300K was US$300K I nearly had a heart attack (not for reals) Oh my.

Expert Posts: 3155 Location: NY & VT | Richard C. had/has one of the best collection of FL cars in the world and Gary Goers used to work for him before he went out on his own and moved from California to Montana. I'd be willing to bet Gary helped restore this car, it's probably the best Adventurer convert in the world, unless somebody put away a new one in storage somewhere, and the price reflects it. I'd love to see this car in person, you'll never see a better one. Haven't heard much about Richard in recent years, wonder if he's ill, or why it's for sale? Expert Posts: 3480 Location: Montreal, Canada | Ok, I know, it is a super nice car, and some people hate it when others nitpick cars for sale, and I rarely do this, but at 300k you would expect perfection, no? Yet this is missing one of the Adventurer strips on the trunk, has a painted white steering wheel, missing screws here and there (like on the push button gear selector), has hardware store screws on the valve covers, wrong washer bag bracket (one of them at least), etc, etc. 300k$?

Elite Veteran Posts: 629 Location: Lubbock, TX | Just as a comparison, Mike McCandless just bought my old 1957 Adventurer Convert, in better condition than this one, for $115k.... So I'm willing to bet this one will be on the market for awhile. :/ ~Peter

Expert Posts: 3155 Location: NY & VT | I believe it's been well over 30 years since this car was restored, so it may have suffered a bit since, (missing piece?) but I'd bet it still probably the best quality resto ever where it counts, the available resources were near limitless, and for example I believe most if not all trim was NOS, and interior done by Gary Goers personally.
