Location: The Mile High City | I'll take a crack at it: Scheduled build date: March 19, 1958 (0319) 23008 is a sequence number (seems too high) - I don't know how to decode that. Dodge Coronet Lancer Convertible (335) Monotone Eggshell White Roof, Lower, Fins & Deck (1XXX) Interior is either black and white or black and red (not sure on that) - standard Coronet interior (123) TorqueFlite 3-speed Automatic Transmission 3 code unknown to me 9 (if that code is actually a 2, it indicates power brakes) Accessory Group 2 - Heater, Back Up Lights, Outside Left Mirror, Inside Prismatic (Day/Night) Mirror, Radio Accessory Group 5 - Spinner Wheel Covers Black Convertible Top 1 Solex Windshield 5 Undercoating 1 Car Service Code (unknown to me) 2 Truck Delivery 5 According to the hand written data tag copy, the car is not coded as a factory D500. It most likely had the standard 325cid Red Ram engine. Sounds really cool! Let's see pictures! If you have it, the broadcast sheet may have more information. Location: The Mile High City | Interesting! It obviously has the padded dash, which is part of the safety package, but maybe that particular option is coded on the broadcast sheet. For the Coronet, there weren't many engine options: The D-500 suite was available in all its forms; single, double, and EFI The Ram-Fire engine was not available. The Red Ram could be had with in either 2-bbl or Super 4-bbl form Then there was the Getaway Six. I think this car may have been the Super Red Ram. Edited by Lancer Mike 2017-08-20 11:26 PM

Was the D500 option even available in the '58 Coronet? I thought you had to upgrade to at least a Royal or Custom Royal to get it this year.

Expert Posts: 2996 Location: Sept. 1958 | It was available on Coronets, the red and white Coronet convertible with standard side trim on eBay right now is a factory Super D.
