Hi Guys

I have this 1959 Radio and the illumination sockets are missing. My question is if the pushbuttons were illuminated at nigh, it looks like they do but is hard to tell.

Did dodge offered a 7 pushbutton option? Also I have what seems like a fader knob, but I'm not sure if it was original equipment.

Thanks

That fader is indeed a Mopar accessory...ive seen it in various locations so am guessing its dealer installed.... There's a brand spanker on ebay last time I looked and it wasnt cheap!

Yes, the button ends glowed at night . Your missing the 2 sockets with orange wires. Dodge and Plymouth did not offer a 7 button search tune in 1959. Last search tune Dodge offered was in 1957. Was a model 918. The fader control you have is an original accessory used with a rear speaker.

Those radios do appear on evilbay from time to time and there is a guy there on evilbay that rebuilds them and then sells ( last time I looked anyway ) .

thanks a lot for the help guy.

1959 Dodge is one of the most beautiful and mean looking Exner designs, with those emblems and decorations. I remember a yellow convertible with black top at Carlisle 2015, when Dave did the dealer theme at one of the buildings...One of those WOW cars...

Yes, the fader is a correct Mopar accessory. The knob on the fader is the same as a 58 Plymouth radio knob.
