Location: Hayward, Calif | Just a bit of info on PS pumps. If you get another pump, make sure the output press is compatable with the PS gearbox. These 57 - 59 PS units (except Imp) are set up for to take 800 - 900 PSI. Any more than that and it will blow out the gearbox bottom seal. The voice of experience is speaking. Not all PS pumps are the same even if they look identical. the output press can vary as much or more than a 1000 PSI and upward. I'm in the process right now of trying to find that bottom seal. Also trying to find a pump shop to rebuild the pump and set the output press down. There is a flow valve inside the pump with a spring, so hoping they can find a softer spring. Good Luck, Jerry |
