Location: Branson, MO | I won't say for sure, but I don't think they are the same. I have a '59 DeSoto Firesweep that was built at the Dodge plant like all Firesweeps were then but the dashboard was still DeSoto and matched those of the Firedomes, Fireflites, and Adventurers which are different from the Dodge models. Even though the dashes were the same for all '59 DeSotos, the Firesweep did not have the padded dash as standard equipment and mine is one of those that does not have a padded dash. Another oddity is the '59 DeSoto dash instrument cluster is a one year only design meaning it is different from the '57/'58 models and the '60/'61 models. The '59 DeSoto was the first year idiot lights were used in place of the oil pressure and amp gauges.
