Expert Posts: 1223 Location: Ramona, CA | Anyone using the Coker wire wheels on their car? If so, can you tell me if they are dual patterned hubs for Chrysler and GM? I bought a set of wheels from a fellow 300 club member that were described as almost new and excellent condition. I got them this week and they have rust pits around the rims and one of them is seriously gouged from someone trying to get the cap off. There is a 5th wheel but it is a different manufacturer made in China and is not dual bolt pattern and has a cheap center cap. The seller thinks I'm full of crap and that the wheels were never rusty or gouged. In one of the pictures below you can see the dual bolt pattern. Just want to know if this is what Coker sells. Also the sealant is breaking down on at least one wheel, can I just use some sealant from the hardware store to fix that? I think that the torque might "disagree" with those wheels. Also, lately I've learned that universal (like multiple lug patterns) means that a part doesn't really fit well on any of the cars it's supposed to fit. My chin k wheels, marked "made in USA" are; - out of round - lug pattern not centered to the center hole - skew - no normal rim profile for balance weights - not properly chromed perhaps I forgot some defects but the above is by far enough. A brute (according to me) should have the original rims (good, round, straight ones) or mag wheels of good quality. An idea of mine that dwelled for some time is a good set of 15" x 6" slot mag wheels adapted for the original hub caps...... | ||

They were a reasonable price (before the shipping) and advertised as almost new in excellent condition so I thought I'd get them and put some tires on them and try them out. Of course lots of people used to put them on the letter cars and other FL models over the years but a lot of people seem to be going back to stock. I'm just catching up. I really like the look of them on a black 300F. I have older "new" Coker Classic whitewalls on my car now and they're fine for driving around locally but not sure I'd drive them on a long trip. Another thing I was going to do was to try and make center caps with the 300 center from the wheelcovers using spinner caps for T-birds if they fit the wheels.
