| Getting ready to paint my 1957 Dodge Coronet engine. It is equipped with the 325 cu in motor with 2bbl carb and single exhaust. Block and manifold is silver. Are the valve covers red? Are there stickers for the valve covers? What is the best paint to use that is most authentic/correct? Sourses? Thank you, Clark |

If you paint it The Chrsyler Silver - you will be 100% correct.
This is getting to be a difficult colour to locate and then to pay for. Some are starting to use a Aluminum Colour because of this. Most do not know what they are looking at
and think it is correct.
-------------
The same goes for Black Wall Tyres. You will always be 100% correct.

I didn't completely repaint my engine, just touched it up the top with Dupli-Color DE 1615 when I changed from a 2-barrel to a 4-barrel...,the color matched the original really well. The RED RAM and SUPER RED RAM decals are available on E-bay.

Location: Falcon, CO | I also used the Dupli-Color DE 1615 Aluminum paint, and it came out pretty nice. It seemed to be closest to the original that I could find.
