| My neutral safety switch doesn't reset once the engine stops running and prevents another start attempt, It will reset after a minute or so. It varies. I t always eventually resets
but I am stuck waiting for it at times.
Are new switches available? If so a part number would be appreciated.
For those not familiar, it is a switch on the intake manifold that looks for a vacuum signal. Once a vacuum signal is detected the switch goes from a closed position to an open position and prevents the starter from
engaging. I like it and think its a good design, so would prefer not to bypass it. On the contrary it is simple to bypass if needed. |

Location: DFW, TX | Have you tried removing it and cleaning it? It sounds like it may have carbon buildup that is causing the switch to be slow to reset. |
