| Hello guys! I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. If I'm in the wrong place, I apologize. I have a 1955 Windsor Deluxe and the battery cable shorted to the exhaust manifold which fried my starter relay. It's still on the 6 volt system and I'm having trouble finding one. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

| You're in the right place --and welcome aboard. Going to be a rough search in the N.O.S. world -- I have some 1956 - 1960s, both A/T and M/T -- but, of course, those are 12 volt....
Hopefully, someone in here will be able to help you --- I have mountains of 1955 Chrysler parts -- brakes, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, brake hoses, front end, ignition, electrical, and
a whole lot more --all BRAND NEW !!!!!!!!
Maybe, someone can help you -- even a used one off somebody's parts car is better than nothing..... |

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Tough break. Those guys are hard to find. Same part as 55 Desoto. You may be able to find one on ebay as I did. Also there are places that can rebuild your relay. Or pull one out of a parts car. BTW, be sure you are using correct 0/1 battery cables. You can buy them at NAPA. Corroded or thinner 12V cables are a cause of hard starting problems. Ron |

You'll probably have to settle for a universal unit and adjust the wiring as necessary.
