Location: Hayward, Calif | I removed a 360 with A/C from a 76 Camper truck. I have the eng/trans installed in a 59 Dodge. My thought was to take the A/C sys from the camper and put it in the 59. But the compressor is too tall and I won't be able to close the hood. Can a rotary compressor be used instead ? Also, Summet has a nice under dash evaporator unit, about $300. will this work or am I going to have some incompatable parts and end up with an expensive headache ??? Thanks, Jerry |

Location: Arizona | you should be able to get a rotary compressor in there. Generally speaking, the sanden compressors work with any add on under dash unit, all the other parts are pretty generic, you need a reciever dryer and a condenser (the biggest that will fit) for in front of the radiator. http://www.bouchillonperformance.com/air_condition has a pretty good selection of ac brackets and stuff. |

I used the Bouchillon bracket when I installed A/C on my 360.
