Can anyone ID what carb this is.  It's on my 60 Matador with the 361B but I think it's from a newer car.  It's a Carter 2 bbl of some sort.  I was looking at one on ebay that seems very similar but it had way different throtle linkage levers.  Someday I'll need to by a rebuild kit and it would be nice to know what to ask for.

Here's a thought: Toss it and find the correct carb for your car. Otherwise, you'll be buying yourself endless problems and frustration because it won't run right.

Don't think i want to toss it RonBo, the car starts and runs beautifully with it.

Adventurer, does your carb have the same vacuum fitting on the back that mine does? One reason I thought mine was not original was because it has a vacuum fitting for the PCV valve and my car originally had a road draft tube, someone later fitted the PCV to it. In some early threads on FLnet people said the 60 and earlier carbs did not have the necessary vacuum fittings to connect to the PCV which made me think it couldn't be the original carb. Maybe that isn't really true and it is the original.

Anyone know a source for the top gasket for between the air horn and air filter.

It's really a standard issue Carter. If it gets annoying on you, someday, get a 4 bbl manifold and an AFB. No recamming needed.
