Location: The Mile High City | I am not too familiar with the Los Angeles data tags, but if the EW code is for engines, the 4 underneath could indicate a Super D-500 option. The easy way to tell is if it has a dual quad intake under the hood. Absent the engine or exhaust manifold, if the passenger side exhaust manifold is still in place, the Super D-500 had a heat tube exchange where the D-500 did not.

Location: The Mile High City | Looks like the standard exhaust manifold. You can see the little port on the passenger side exhaust manifold of the Super D-500 (ignore the 1959 valve cover decal). (27 reduced.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 27 reduced.jpg (201KB - 158 downloads)

Expert Posts: 2996 Location: Sept. 1958 | Your car was painted all Crimson. Unusual to see that. Good luck and post some more photos. Where are you located? That exhaust manifold is for a single four barrel setup.

Location: The Mile High City | So maybe the EW is "electric windows" and has the 4 code One of the 3s under M1 and M2 might be the power seat The 1 under M5 might be undercoating Perhaps the other 3 under M1 and M2 is the Torqueflite transmission. What color is the interior? I don't think I have seen a 274 before.

Location: The Mile High City | Your car probably has the safety options group and the bumper appearance options group, among others.

Location: The Mile High City | Fantastic, Jeff: The original seats look like they are right under the covers - and they might be in pretty good shape! On the rear speakers: the passenger side "speaker" is actually the defogger intake, the driver side is the rear shelf speaker. It looks like you might be missing the intake and carb, radio, radiator, bumper tie bar, and the exhaust deflectors. The hood and fender may have come from a Coronet, yours should have hood ornaments, driver fender mirror, and gold anodized aluminum "dodge" block letters. THIS IS A GREAT CAR! Good score! looks like the 3,118th of 6,288 Custom Royals to roll out of the Los Angeles plant. Edited by Lancer Mike 2015-09-15 4:10 PM

Regular Posts: 59 | Don't think this motor will run until the pistons are knocked out and motor gets a full rebuild. Probably a newer motor and trans. Any recommendations on ordering patch panels? Andy Auto Sport or Classic 2 Current Fabrication are the 2 that popped up on my search. Missing the "lancer" on pass side. Any common MOPAR SPINDLES work for a disc brake swap? Any ideas on how many were actually built like mine - with D500 option? Aren't the power windows and seat fairly rare?

Any common MOPAR SPINDLES work for a disc brake swap? Any ideas on how many were actually built like mine - with D500 option? Aren't the power windows and seat fairly rare? If at all possible, stick with the original motor. A significant portion of the value in this car is in the D500 option - a newer motor will ding the car. But, if it has to happen, it has to happen. Stay well away from ClassicParts4U panels. You are better off to have a shop fabricate the panels from scratch. 7,617 361 c.i.d. engines produced in 1958 for Dodge (includes all D500 and Super D500) - power windows and seat are rare options!

Location: Parts Unknown | Power seat and windows are quite unusual on a Dodge, even a top-of-the-line Custom Royal. I have seen only a handful in nearly 40 years.
