Expert Posts: 1288 | Lads -- To me, it looks like a homemade edition of what we old fudds called a "necker's knob," In those situations, you left your hand on the knob to steer (hopefully with power steering) while the right arm (and hand) kinda held on to that sweet young thing who cuddled next to you. The pic may be of such a fabrication. Joe

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7431 Location: northern germany | the horn bar wouldn't be a good location for "necker's (suicide) knob" also its too close to the center a "neckers knob" (never heard that before) was the 1rst thing i added to my 60 fury in the 80s, but its not legal in germany and i had to take it off.

Location: Indiana | my grandpa uses one because of muscle issues and he can't grip the steering wheel... i can't help but see it as the state giving a driver's license to somebody that really shouldn't be driving...

It would be located on the steering wheel itself. Yes, we used them on the tractors also. I have as much right to drive as you do. Catch ya later. Thank a vet. The horn pad is used to hit the horn ring underneath which activates the horn. The button has a cotter pin to keep it in place. You press the button which in turn pushes the horn ring. When you let up on the button, the horn ring releases and the button is pushed back up by the horn ring. May be hillbilly, but it seems to be a simple, workable solution.
