OK, another flathead 6 question: what's the best way to remove the damper? There are no holes to thread in a puller. Soaking with penetrating oil and some gentle persuasion has done nothing. Thanks!

I've torn four of these down and every one has had holes that are not threaded. Put a bolt through with a nut on the back.

After I read your reply, I went out and scraped the grime off, and voila! Two holes! They were so filled with dirt/grime that they didn't show up at first! Thanks again for coming to my rescue, Brian.
