So now I'm wondering about the door panel inserts. On my Fireflite sedan (trim 533) the inserts are printed vinyl in the same pattern as the seats. However on my 4dr hdtp (trim 543) they are fabric. Does anyone know which trim numbers came original with printed vinyl and which were original with fabric?

1st picture is trim 543 from my 4dr hdtp. 2nd picture is trim 533 from my sedan. 3rd is theclose up of the printed vinyl.

I guess the bottom line is that I'm really grateful the inserts on my sedan are so pristine. Amazing after 58 years. The 4dr hdtp well it's the more typical result of 58 unprotected years in Texas.

The door condition-situation :"is what it is".....

You'll have to use tightly-stretched, and/or glued-down.....(as opposed to loose-and-sloppily installed) upholstery cloth on your car's doors, if the
OEM printed-vinyl door-material is not available to you (and probably Unobtanium...)

But, you gotta do what you gotta do, and properly installed and presented upholstered door panels will look just fine.

You'll probably have to glue it to some stiff backing---like hardboard or cardboard

At least, you will have the opportunity to experiment with the upholstery's installation-appearance
before deciding upon the best-looking alternative.
