Need some help here, well my 1960 383 RB engine is finally rebuilt and in the car, however recently discovered that there is no head bolt to attach the alternator to. Is there any special brackets out there I can use? Or will I have to stick with the original generator?

Attached below is a picture of my engine where the problem lies, notice where the alternator bracket is attached to and look where the bolt would meet the head , there's no bolt attachment point on the head.

Some much needed help here, any thoughts suggestions? Thanks in advance

You may have to modify your generator bracket to fit the alternator. Something may be out there but can't say I've ever come across anything in my travels.
Not sure on the cost or company but I think there's a company that makes alternators that look like geni's. If you can't find a bracket-Joe

Have a look at the back of the other head and see if there is a bolt hole there

I put the heads on backwards on my poly and lost that bolt hole

Here is a picture of a factory bracket I found (picture not the bracket) and also pictures of how I got around it

60 383 heads weren't tapped for an alt. , except police cars . but , if you can find or have a 60 RH exhaust manifold use the bracket wiz pointed out . or , you can tap the head
to match the bracket , which is not extremely hard to do-------------------------------------------later
