1956 Dodge D500 HEMI Custom Royal 2 door Hard Top

This is a California Car!

A 1956 Dodge D500 Custom Royal 2 Door Hard Top, VIN: 35082612 with 17,815 miles on Speedo, California Black Plate DWE430.

Engine: This 56 Dodge D-500 HEMI is a high-performance model derived from the standard 1956 Dodge 2/Dr H/T but differing in many ways. It included a heavy duty suspension and other chassis upgrades, upgraded brakes, and a high-performance 315 cu/in HEMI V8 with a four-barrel Carter carburetor, with Solid lifters that is pushing out 260 hp. This Dodge has a PowerFlite 2-speed automatic transmission. This dodge ran when I purchased it twenty years ago.

This Dodge is one of the very few completely stock inside and out “Sixty one year old” surviving unrestored 1956 Dodge D500 Custom Royal 2 Door Hard Top!

Equipped: with power brake booster, factory heater and AM Radio. This car has been in storage for over thirty-five years and is completely dry.

Body: This Dodge is one of a very few completely stock “Sixty one year old” surviving unrestored 1956 Dodge D500 Custom Royal 2 Door Hard Top with very little surface rust, when reviewing the photos, please note that there is a small hole under driver side front panel (1in dia.) also note that there is NO other rust in the interior of this car. Needs a replacement Steering wheel, (have horn ring). Most 1956 (61 years old Dodges) have rusted completely through, not this one (See pictures). It can be called a very little to no rust car. All in all, this car is very solid sixty one year old D500 HEMI survivor and is a great find! This car must be “Restored!”

Questions: Please call me with any Questions about this car or any of the other 1955 to 1957 MoPars I have for sale. I will discuss any reasonable offers for my cars. My phone number is 650-280-1472.

Factory hot rod!

Looks like its sitting low, so, it could well have the 'performance' D500 suspension underneath it, too!

Really unusual: MANUAL steering, but Power Brakes!

That's Coronet side trim (and interior?) on it.

"35" series VIN is for Coronet....IIRC, not CRL.

SINGLE exhaust on it, too?

Engine might have been retrofitted to the car (long ago)....

Questions!

I think you nailed it, Neil. Looks just like my '56 Coronet lancer from years ago. It had the plain jane tailght bezels though and the dual antennae.

If only!!!>>>>>>SIGH!!!
