The option plate should be on the radiator support, the vin plate should be in the driver's door jamb.
The vin plates can possibly fall off over time.

The Paint/Trim tag on the radiator support has the VIN at the lower left corner under SRL, just add LY1 to the beginning.
I have an Imperial that the VIN was misprinted on the title. I was able to show the VIN plate on the door jamb as well as the Trim tag to get it sorted out.
There may or may not be a light stamping some where on the frame but I've never found it on any of my Imperials and neither could Highway Patrol Inspectors.

If you're missing both the VIN plate and the Trim tag, you'll probably ended up needing to get a state issued VIN

Thank you everyone for calling it a VIN and not a VIN Number.
