I previously posted this in the Interior section, but got no response, so I thought this might be a more appropriate forum:

Does anyone have any advice for locating the correct spot to mount the accelerator pedal assembly? My floors were rusted out and the new floor pans did not have a hole cut for this. I told the auto body guy that welded in the pans to use the accelerator linkage to locate the position of the pedal assembly bracket, but he seemed hesitant. Does anyone have pictures or measurements that could help?

Not sure what measurements would help with a new floor that doesn't contain the original 'landmarks' to measure from but maybe this picture from my 61 NYer will help.

Thanks! I'm sure that will at least help a little. I'll bring this to the guy tomorrow and see if we can finally get over this speed bump. I'll let you know...
