Have you looked up/behind the glove box to see if the Broadcast Sheet is still masking-taped there? Built on or around 6/10/57, in L.A. Coronet (NOT a "Custom Royal") 2-door HT with the blue Custom-Coronet interior motif ( notched seat backs, BLUE colored floor mats --hope that they are still there--, special Mylar-trimmed upper side-panels, and fluted nylon areas ("bolsters") in the middle of both seats, and, the special/unique "Star Dot" upholstery, in 'blue. The paint is Turquoise on the roof, fins and lower, with Glacier White across the middle "Saddle" area of the body. Again, the B.-Sheet and the factory's IBM Build Card will show all of the other OEM options and equipment that the car had on it when it left the factory. Nice car; looks like it's nicely optioned, too. Does it have the 4-bbl carb and/or dual exhausts?

Extreme Veteran Posts: 380 Location: Kennewick Wa | Thanks Neil, I knew it was not stock when I bought it. I had a real CR d500 from '78 to '92. Shame on me for selling it. This has a Chrysler hemi, was told it was a 392, will check those numbers later. I will check out the glove box. 'The Plan' is to fix some little things now, drive it until my wagon is finished. Then put it back as stock as possible. It has no rust.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 494 Location: Alberta | I like the colour of coarse, yes you are right again this is the same colour as my D500. I was interested in the interior colour of your 57 I'm planning on redoing mine and trying to find a colour match close to original. So if you would be so kind to post a photo or two of what you have that would be great (DSC02902.2.JPG) (DSC02902.2.JPG) Attachments ---------------- DSC02902.2.JPG (228KB - 211 downloads) DSC02902.2.JPG (228KB - 187 downloads)

Really a wonderful combination. My red/white Custom Royal is seen in various threads, but most recently here...toward the bottom of Page 56, on this thread: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=24680&... Extreme Veteran Posts: 380 Location: Kennewick Wa | Hi Glen, Yes, you have a beautiful car... My interior is not stock, it was redone at some point. The interior is a really faded fuzzy light blue cloth and real dirty looking off white leatherette stuff. The door panels stock, but pretty shot. I plan on going next week to look at some material to match the color on the door panels. And then go with a pattern similar to the D500 I had in the'80s. d500neil's car could be it's twin...
