| I just saw this post, and I'm not sure if you still need some assistance. I found some good information for my 1960 New Yorker based on this website:
http://www.tpocr.com/chrybp.html
But that site looks like it doesn't have the trim code for Imperials. Still, it can provide some information, like your car is an Alaskan White 2-door Imperial. I can't read some of the numbers on the plate, but you can compare them to the site and shipping order # and production sequence. Another site to keep checking is Imperial Club. They have a site for the 1960, but it has minimal information compared to other years, such at the 1957.

I hope this helps... |

| The car's scheduled build date was 0914=Monday, September 14, 1959. The shipping order (SO) number=0133. The body code=9 (Imperial), 1 (Custom), 2 (2-door Southampton). I do not have complete trim code records for 1960 Imperials, but the three digits should consist of seat type (e.g., bench or split bench), material (e.g., fabric, vinyl, leather, or a combination of materials) and the interior color (my notes indicate that the last "4" should equal either gray or red). The sales order codes are unconfirmed as I do not have too many 1960 Imperials in my database. I would appreciate it if you would confirm/refute the following information: F=5=315 (Front heater without air conditioning), H=8=348 (Flitesweep deck lid), L=3=383 (Left, OSRV remote control mirror), Q=8=428 (Golden Touch Tuner radio with power antenna and rear seat speaker) and V=1=441 (Solex Glass). |

Location: Modesto, CA | Thanks 300xman! That is what I was looking for. Didn't see this kind of info on imperial club.
This is what I know...
Yes, heater without ac.
Yes, it has flite sweep.
If the dash knob for the mirror counts, then yes to that as well.
Yes to the radio, antenna and rear speakers.
And yes to solex glass.
Also, I think I have the auto tuner for the stereo. Its a foot button by the high beam. |
