| Other than a loose wire somewhere up in the dash, what could cause a temp gauge to suddenly up and quit registering temp?
Gauge is fairly new.
350 Golden Commando, no A/C.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Car seems to run fine. |

Turn the key on and ground the sender wire on the engine while someone watches the gauge and see if it goes up
If it does, the sender is your most likely problem, if it doesnt, then you need to probably pull the gauge cluster out and start checking the gauge and the wire from the sender to the gauge

| Good photos and tip Neil, thanks for your time. That didn't appear to do the trick....
Will try Tired's advice in a bit about grounding that wire and checking gauge reaction.
I remind all that I am far from being a mechanic, so it has to be explained to me like I am 12. Thanks.

| Well I took off the wire to the TSU, made sure it was grounded, and ran the engine for a bit - no dice.
Guess I'll have a peak under the dash first and then the cluster. Ugh. Thanks gentlmen. |
