Location: central Illinois | I've got the dash tore down and want to send the clock out for repair but not sure how to remove the stem from the clock. Any pointers?
Speaking of pointers, the clocks "big hand" pointer has the tip broken off. Is there a reputable repairer that can replace this or do I need to find another clock?

Location: Layton, Utah | The round chrome knob is threaded and screws onto the shaft (right hand threads). You just need to be careful not to gouge either one while trying to break it free. DeSoto lives !!! |

Location: central Illinois | Took a little persuasion but the knob came off. Always better to ask first than screw it up. I found this guy to do repairs and the ad says he fixes the pointer too. http://www.classicautoelectric.com/ |

Location: central Illinois | Got a preliminary quote of $125 to repair it. Maybe he's going to set me up with a new knob for that price. |
