Now that BUD's engine has popped, farted and fired a few times, the cotton-pickin water pump has decided that the seal is no longer any good and started leaking.
Aside from Evil Pay, does any one know where I can send mine to be rebuilt, or where a new or rebuilt water pump can be purchased

It'll be going into a '55 270ci Hemi in a '55 CRL named BUD (Butt Ugly Dodge). However I may change it's name to VED (Very Expensive Dodge)! ! ! !

Thanks, Walt

You can probably send it to Quality Engineered Components, QEC , for a rebuild. He did my 331 W/P. He's "Wayfarer" here, & "73RR" on the HAMB, probably fastest to go there & PM him.

Thanks George, I found the local OKC water pump rebuilder. In the past he has rebuilt several water pumps for me, including 2 Peugeot water pumps, a '38 Dodge, a 69 Olds mobile and a couple of 351 Ford pumps.
Each time it cost less than buying a rebuilt in a parts store . . . .Walt

Water pump went to rebuilder Tuesday, got it back today. $60.00 new bearings new seal, debrided of all the several years of rust, and clear coated. Now, I'll give it a coat of appropriate color and stick that sucker
back in the pump housing, replace the various parts removed and re fill it with 5050 antifreeze and water. and hen go pick up the carburetor and see if the large accumulation of cast iron and aluminum will start and run . . . . .

If anybody needs a w/pump rebuilt let me know, I'll get you the address of the rebuilder. I think it's a good price
a good price considering the cost of new/or rebuilt from off I-net. . . . .
