Location: Sunset, TX | I have factory ac in my car that I just got. It's a 1957 Royal. My question is that the AC control is over on the passenger side and there is a vent coming out in the middle. As you can see in the picture. Is this correct? I have seen cars with the AC control in the middle and not sure if mine was moved or what? Any help would be appreciated. |

Every Factory A/C Car of every Division has The A/C Controls as part of The Heater Control Unit.

Location: Sunset, TX | I think so too, if you look close you will see that there is a vent where it normally is, has a door on it that opens and closes. Just don't know enough to guess why. I have seen one other car with it over like that in pictures, but that car did not have the vent like I do. Really weird, it looks normal with what was done. But again I am unaware as to why except to add extra vents. |

Location: Ontario, Canada | It really looks weird to me too. Obviously, it is an AC control pod. BUT that vent is a non AC feature! Factory AC cars did not have that vent. There can be major differences between factory AC and non AC cars. Someone messed with this.
