Subject: Modern paint formula

Hi All, I have been trying to get some Turquoise paint mixed for my 59' dodge, The information i have is  Turquoise,  Code J   Ditzler PPG 11720 .  Here in Australia i keep getting told if it's before 1960 the formula has not been transfered onto the new system! The paint suppliers tell me it will have to be mixed by eye.  Does any one have a modern code/formula for this color? Or any information that would help me! Thanks in advance,  Glen

If you have a portable part that still has some of the original paint left that can be polished back to near original look, most modern auto paint suppliers can "read " the paint and come up with a formula from which to mix a paint that should be close enough to the original. That's how I got the yellow for my '55 mixed.
