Here's a new (old-) one, on me.

In the 1/62 MT, in its Car Clinic section, is a brief discussion about how worn out shock absorbers could
have:"....a simple repair...." be done to them, by...."draining their existing fluid.....and then refilling (them)
with either 60 or 90 weight gear oil".....in order to restore and/or to improve their performance.

Never knew that old shock absorbers had that capability (via plugs in them?).

Another example of how our vintage car parts were able to be repaired, instead of "automatically" being
replaced with a new component-assembly, such as occurs today.


[Exner-forbid that we overhaul wheel cylinders, instead of replacing them].
