Were these parts on the business coupe?

I have seen it discussed here, just never saw a definitive answer why these parts exist... to rust out faster? Saved Chysler 3 cents a build?

Painted steel trims were used on the entry level Plaza line. Probably to save a few cents as you surmise.

Yep these are on my biz coupe. In fact the eyebrows were all that was left of the front of the original fenders!
