Hard to see from here how rusty they are but i would guess 1500-2000 dollars each. They would probably get parted out by the new owner since there is little demand for project cars, especially sedans.

I love 4 doors.... But you are missing some very important questions here in the states. Are there titles? Rust? Engines locked?

Without titles and locked engines, I wouldn't think you could get much more than a grand for the pair. Condition of many of the small pieces will also dictate cost. If you look at all the dash pieces, and they have pitting, then you are looking at a full replacement of those parts for repair.

Now, with that said, there are people who redo 4 doors. I being one of them, but the condition, titles and driveline condition contribute greatly. The interiors as well, if they are completely shot, are going to need alot of funds to get back into good condition.

The last car I bought was for $1800. It drove onto the trailer. The interior really only needed carpet, a front seat cover and the rear shelf replaced, and there was almost no rust. It was a 4 door 60 Dodge.

But then again, they are also worth what someone will give for them.

Oh, and where are you? If you are in the boonies, several hours from anywhere, I would imagine you will get less for them.... If you are close to a highly populated area, I would expect more....

I am dead center of nebraska, the black car does have rust in the floor, and the seats are pretty bad. The silver car is not very rusty really anx the seats are there, still in factory clear covers but im sure the material is rotten. I have not checked the motors but i do believe they are free, i have an offer of 600 a piece but just feel they are worth more, neither has a title tho, i just wasnt sure what they were really worth and if the rb engines were worth much

I hate to say it, but it sounds like a good offer, considering no titles, state of interiors and that one needs floors..... You can look around a bit and see what you can find, but if you have that kind of offer local I would take it. If... you weren't in the middle of Nebraska, I would say find someone who will pay more... you could probably part them out for at least double to triple that amount, assuming lots of the little bits aren't all pitted and tore up. All depends on what you want to do with them and the effort you are willing to expend. For instance, that brake booster is worth some money if the rubber is decent. Not so much if there are holes in it and the plating is shot... Dash pieces can be worth some money, but only if they are in good shape, and you may have to put some time into cleaning them to get them to sell at all.

Though, if you could put together one really good car out of both, all good panels, clean it up, put all the best parts in that one, you could maybe look at 2K for the one car.... But... like I said.. it is all about the effort and the return. I have seen some really good cars go for almost nothing on this site. FL buyers that are willing to pony up is rare. I have had parts to many FL's over the years for sale, and I struggled to sell them. I parted out a 59 Olds 98 a couple years ago because the roof was rotten and I couldn't find a replacement because the long roof of the 98 is rare. I made 5K on that one car....

Then again, there have also been times where I have posted items for sale, and I didn't have enough of them, the demand was so great. You just never know...

Personally, I would clean down the engines so they dont looks so bad, take a 10 photos of each and throw them up on ebay bt themselves.

If your thinking the 600, use that as the starting price (actually 650 so it covers ebay fees) and let them go as a no reserve auction.

The market will dictate the price.

Be upfront with the person thats made the offer and tell him/her that you want to run them through ebay first and that they have first dibs if nothing happens.

Never know, they may up their offer, or they might bid up in a bidding war?

Your not happy with the current offer, thats why your asking.

Personally, I wouldnt let them go for 600, on this side of the world, they would probably cost 10x that much

IMO 1200 for the pair is a fairly reasonable offer... however that said the one car has factory A/C, which is pretty rare on non-Imperials in 57-59. If they were mine I'd be tempted to do as Mike suggested and use the silver car as a basis for making one good car out of the 2, including that A/C! But only if it could be done without a total motor re-build.

Some of the issue is the titles though... Unless it goes to a state it is easy to get titles for cars, you may have some paperweights, unless the plan is to part them.

Is the air setup rare at all then or just rare to be in this car? is it interchangeable with the imperial setup?

I'd say A/C is fairly rare in a '57-9 Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Windsor, Saratoga, even most NYers probably didn't have air, except maybe in the really hot areas of the country, but A/C was somewhat more common in Imps, given that is was bought by the more affluent. Underhood stuff probably interchanges, not sure about dash vents... I always liked how they mounted on top of the dash. That Saratoga is pretty loaded, does it have P Seat or P Windows?!

No windows or locks, found a registration in the saratoga from 72you today though, and judging from the jambs it was more of a teal and white not silver and white
