Veteran Posts: 146 Location: California | Hi All, Just wanted our Forward Look and other Mopar friends to know that my dad, Ernie Grossich, passed away early last Friday morning March 22nd at the age of 82. My dad was one of the original WPC members and restored many Chrysler product cars beginning in the late 1960's. He started restoring MOPAR cars of the early 1930's including a couple of 32 Plymouth PB convertibles and a 31 Chrysler CD8 Deluxe 2nd series roadster. In the 1980's he started to buy, sell and restore Forward Look cars, including 2 57 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer convertibles, a 58 Belvedere convert, 3 60 Plymouth Fury converts, 2 55 Dodge converts, along with countless other 2 door hardtops and convertibles. Over the last 25-30 years my dad and I had a hobby shop business which he named G&G Mopar. We supplied NOS and used parts to both restorers as well as dealers from around the world. My dad's shop was once featured in a Scandinavian magazine, over the years he had many visitors to his shop and made friends with MOPAR folks all around the world. My dad always made time and went out of his way to entertain visitors that came to his shop and enjoyed helping others with both parts and advice. I will be continuing my dad's life long passion for cars which I inherited from him. We still have a big stash of NOS and used parts along with about 100 MOPAR parts cars with mostly rust free Southern California sheet metal and lots of great parts. My dad's knowledge of Chrysler product cars from the early 30's to the early 60's and his willingness to help others will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Thanks to all my dad's friends that have already contacted our family to express their condolences. Best wishes, Gary Grossich

Location: Parts Unknown | Sorry to hear it, Gary. This mortality stuff is a drag when even even takes the good ones. Sounds like he had a good life beyond what I knew of him. You were lucky to have a great Dad. I wish you the best.

Expert ,, George Passed away July 28th 2021, He will be Missed Posts: 1295 Location: Twin Falls, Idaho | Gary.... I am sorrowed to hear this news. I remember visiting the shop next door to the Pizza joint and see so many NOS items. Your dad was extremely friendly and helpful to me and as you said, made me feel welcome. I remember, he told me of a guy nearby that had 3 56 Plymouth Furys, which I went to look at some time later. It is a great loss to our hobby.... Keep the business and memories going Gary! Veteran Posts: 104 Location: FIN land | My most sincere condolences, I visited couple of times on the G&G over the years on my California trips, it was a pleasure to talk with Ernie and go thru the cars around the yard and garages. He will be remebered also here on the other side of the globe. Silent moment here in Finland for the memory of a great person.

Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | Met up with Gary Grossich, at the Hot August Nights swap meet, when we both were simultaneously attracted to an alluring (but over-priced and not really needed) used 1958 CRL gold anodized trunk "Dodge" emblem. Gary's doing OK, now. But the MoPar world has lost a good friend.
