I saw your car on "What's My Car Worth". Looks like you made a good choice on going to auction that day. How did you ever get back home?

I don't understand. If your car was sold at auction, presumably with your consent, the purchaser's name would be on the paperwork?

The auctioneers have your title, so you don't know who bought your car unless you recognize them or they come up and introduce themselves.

My dad sold his car at auction and never found out who bought it.  Technically, he knows the name of the person who was bidding, but they were acting as an agent for somebody else.  Supposedly the car went to a private museum/collection in California, but we never found out where.  And my dad had a bunch of valuable and rare parts that went with the car and they were supposed to send for them.  My dad figured he'd find out then, but they never collected the parts.  So we still don't know who bought the car.

the tv program, "what's my car worth?" was advertised on the www.carsatcarlisle.com web address. i signed up and was given a time slot. i was not going to take the car to the auction but changed my mind when all the terms of sale were explained to me.

shortly after the sequence was filmed, the car rolled across the auction block. then i was given a cashiers check and had to wait till my wife drove up to carlisle to give me a ride home!

i already had my next desoto in mind. by the end of the month, i had my next antique car in the garage.

look for the velocity discovery channel show, "what's my car worth?". maybe you'll catch me on reruns!
