Alright... which one of you guys bought it?

I am seriously considering building one of these little guys from scratch.... It would be too cool having one of those in my garage too...

At that price I knew it wouldn't last!
Also curious about who got it?

You stole that one. Luckily they won't go all the way to OZ to get you!
You going to make it buckskin beige again? Or mini Christine?

If you can not get it shipped I am sure there are a few people around that would be glad to get you a nice little profit.

Is this your first Junior?
I know of at least 6 other junior cars in OZ but most are Mustangs

A person could have a lot of fun 'customizing' the OEM car.

You could install the Sure Grip differential, since this is a 58 model.

I'd forego the Gansta white walls, but the correct size WWW's would be nice, along with dual antennae and a working radio.

Congrats on your first Junior car purchase!
Here is the original article in the Plymouth merchandiser magazine that introduced them to the dealers.
And yes indeed it needs it's own restoration thread in the member rides section.
Here is the Plymouth page of my website, I am pretty sure you have been there already but just in case, http://www.jrcentral.com/plymouth.html

I have just spent entirely too much time on your website, Lee....

I have had a good bit of experience building molds, working fiberglass, and have a degree in fine arts, specifically clay sculpture... yeah, I've worked a bit with the mud....

My brain is moving about 900 miles an hour right now...

What I could do if I could get my hands on an original to pattern off of... just dimensions... that's all I need....

New Fury Juniors, anyone?

I have a NOS 1960 Body that is currently in the paint booth. But since it is a 1/4 scale it is not as popular. The 58 Is worth doing but finding a suitable body to make a mold from is not an easy task.
I already make the bumpers, headlight lenses, windshield, steering wheel and have NOS dash decals and horn buttons and someone else makes the taillights so the only thing really missing is the body and the frame can be fabricated.

Try to get as much of the back story on the car as you can.
Where did he find it?
who used to own it?
Are there any vintage images of the car?

ETC.

It was for sale for a good chunk of change but I do not know if it sold.
Junior cars are very rare (except for the 55-56 Tbird) and do not come up for sale often. Generally when they do they are sold from collector to collector and the sum is undisclosed so setting a value on them is difficult. The highest I have seen one go for is $14K for a 57 Mercury that was customized to look like a turnpike cruiser pace car.

I already have one of these in my collection.
