the Matador was not a Dart...
that would be like calling a Polara a Dart...
in much the same way that a Coronet, a Royal, and a Custom Royal have several similarities, ie, they "shared styling cues", they're not the same car...
the same goes for the Polara and the Matador, they simply "shared styling cues" with the Dart...
but no, a Matador is not a Dart
edit: Doc, you are correct, the "order", cheapest to most expensive, was Seneca, then Pioneer, and then Phoenix...

Location: Parts Unknown | Matador and Polara were bigger cars and did not share a lot of sheetmetal
with the Dart series. You can swap all sheetmetal on the Seneca, Pioneer, and
Phoenix. The differences were in how they trimmed them out.

and engine options...
i think only the Phoenix had a four-barrel option - not positive though...
