I am working on getting my G back on road, unfortunately I have neglected it and let it sit since the tranny went out a number of years ago. Dropped off the tranny yesterday, should get the news next week. I have removed the carbs to rebuild them and the darn throttle shafts are frozen. Does anyone know of a modern replacement? I have other 2903s’s but I am more interested in driving it than using the 2903s's right now.

I also have a 61 New Yorker 2drht and used to be heavily involved with 55-62 MoPars as a hobby. As the story often goes…. After getting married and starting a family I moved away from the cars. I am looking forward to getting back into THE FORWARD LOOK :inlove:. Here is a link to the restoration of the G. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsBZOED_odE

Well, if modern carbs are not too expensive I would like to use them for reliability. Fortunately, I have 3 sets of carbs and ram manifolds so parts won't be a problem. I just remember how finicky those 2903's were. Both the G and the NYer are not in great shape today but I'll post some old pictures when they were in their prime... I need to get hooked up with the clubs again as well. Take care...mfw

Thanks for the kind words! I am really excited about getting back into the MoPars. Was a huge part of my life at one time, really great memories. As requested, I posted some pics of the G, the NYer and other past projects that never shoud have sold. But as u'all know.... these cars take up lots a room....

I need to check into copy right problems but I might upload the complete Prowler proto type video later. It was supposed to be like me and my buddie Matt were coming from the past into the future and seeing this "new" ol' style factory hot rod - The Prowler

Well, with the help of Ken Brody I had my 2903s' rebuilt and the G just came roarin' to life :). Just need my tranny, which I should get next week. I don't think I can make it to the 300 Int. show in Vegas but hopfully can attend the next event in SoCal. Anyone know what the next SoCal WPC show is?

Mark; welcome aboard!

Nice to see another Bendix brake installation.

Firm Feel now sells 11x 3" Carbon-metallic brake shoes for our cars; you should contact them at firmfeel.com .

There is the annual Big Mopar show in Van Nuys Calif on October 30th this year. Woodley Park.
More and more Forward look cars are turning up there.
I will be there in my 59 Dodge Vert.
My friend Aivar will be there, but have no idea what car, alto it will be a forward look car.

Welcome to the Forum!

Gary

Thank you for the Fall Fling info. Totally forgot that they did 2 a spring fling and the fall one. Doubt if I will have all my parts dug out for a vendor space but I think I will have the G there. I will also look up those brake shoes, believe it or not I had full pedal after many years of neglect. At least I used silicon fluid when I redid everything. Regards...mfw
