Location: Montreal, Canada | It was the High School prom last night in Rimouski, Quebec, where my parents live and dad drove a friend's daughter to the dance with the '59 Dodge. The local TV station made a short clip on the prom night event and dad and the car are featured in it.
Here's the link: http://tva.canoe.ca/stations/cfer/nouvelle/20100623.html
At the bottom of the page, under the title "Près de 500 finissants au bal à Rimouski", click on the button that says "Extrait video". Of course it's in French, but you'll get the idea.
Dad and the car appear 38 seconds into the clip and again at 1:38 seconds.

Location: Highlands, Texas (20 miles east of Houston) | Fantastic story and video! I wish we would have had one when I drove my oldest to her prom. We took the '61 DeSoto, and she was a big hit!
WONDERFUL memories!

that news-videos get taken down after a short while, and become 'lost'.

Yes, we will try and have a hard copy directly from the news station. |
