I haven't been on in a while, I decided to jump in and post a couple pics of my '55 Royal. Was driving it, and it will be a daily, but I had to send in my water pump so it's off the road until next week.

I'll hopefully get back to the '60 Plymouth soon, too many projects at once.

And for those of you asking, I have finished the 57-58 Plymouth bumper wings and have
sent out my first set, they are excellent and cheaper than I had originally planned, so feel
free to email me at 72gtojudge@charter.net if you're interested in some.

Wow; sweet; I didn't know that the 55 Royals had the "tail fins" installed on them.

Nice colors.

Jon, from curiosity, why does your '55 have '56 trim mouldings on it, and it doesn't have the huge moulding over the top of the windshield?

I thought the big windshield mouldings only came on Chrysler and DeSoto? I could be wrong about that.

It has '56 Coronet side trim on it because I wanted to do two tone and I couldn't get my hands on any of the '55 Custom Royal side trim. If I could have found some I would have used it instead. I didn't intend this car to be a 100 point correct resto, just a fix-up nice driver. The guy I bought it from was going to part it out, I saved it. I wasn't sure at first but I actually really like it with the '56 trim on it, nice and clean looking.

The tail fins were a factory option, I was looking for a while for these. I was searching for '49 Dodge stuff and someone had these listed for '49 Dodge, got them for $35 and they're really nice. I lucked out.

Yeah, there's a few - the last '55 Royal (4 door as well) I've seen down here had the chrome fender tips as well.....

Jon, look for Purkeys Auto salvage under Salvage Yards. There''s a pic posted with the '55 side trim mouldings that look pretty nice.

I like your colors, and am jealous that yours' is running and mine ain't. Nice!!!!!

Welcome. Nice to see another '55, looks pretty good with the '56 dress up but I still prefer the 55 CRL trim
The crome fins where standard equipment on the CRL as well as a lot of other unique crome trim pieces.
I believe the '55 CRL where the only american car that where delivered with dual outside mirrors as standard equipmemt.
Have a look at my album http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/photos/photo-thumbnails.asp?msg=u...

That one was too nice to part out. Good job in saving it. I hope it will be on the road soon.
