Jerry: You might want to remind us which car you are talking about.

PN 2080 936 for AutoTrans but no PS

PN 2080 938 for AutoTrans *AND* PS

Same PNs across the Plymouth, Dodge, Desoto and Chrysler range (not Imperial) in 1960 (see below)

Same PNs across the Plymouth, Dodge, Desoto and Chrysler range (but not Valiant or Imperial) in 1961 (see pg 118/176 of this link for 1961):

Sorry, I looked but didn't find one at Hiltop, Len Dawson, or eBay. At least the you have a larger list of potential wrecking yard sources to work with.

Thanks D but looking at the parts page wouldn't it be Seal, Steering column to floor 2080 766? I might have to try a couple of bias tire patches instead. The reason I need one is a small slice in mine. I doubt if there is one available on the planet. Mine was an auto with manual steering.

If you are not concerned about a stock look, you can do what I did. I visited my local auto parts store and had them look through their generic accordion style seals. An older parts guy who didn't have to ask what make and model it was going on knew where to look and we found one that worked fine for my automatic column. I don't recall the part number or what it was for.

There are several makers of those types of pipe flashings. I used one from Aquadynamics. I attached it to the engine side of the inspection plate. I used the OE rubber pad on the interior side (under, not over, the carpet):

Wow now that's thinking outside the box. My car came with the push button on the left side of the dash. So I guess I reckon the column shift is different because my does not have 2 things at the bottom like the picture shows. But the roof vent flashing looks like a viable option. Never would have thought of that.
