Black '60 Polara convertible for sale:

A stunning example of an exceedingly rare model, this Polara not only has the D500 crossram 383 V8 option, but PB, PS, PW, P/seat, P/antenna, remote mirror and more. This car has never had any rust and was aquired in Nevada from a gentleman who had owned it since 1963. The paint, chrome, stainless and interior are flawless, yet the car is so original it still has the factory underseal below. NOS interior materials were sourced from SMS in Oregon and with the exception of new electric choke carbs (the originals come with it) that were added for easier starting and driveability, the car is unaltered from factory spec. The engine has recently been completely rebuilt and though docile around town is a real firebreather. The car is located in Fillmore, Utah 84631 and inspection is encouraged before bidding. Reasonable transport at cost can be arranged to anywhere on the planet.

I have a Factory A/C set up for this car but as we all know it would require cutting out the firewall. LOL Very nice car.

WOW but at first glance, the dash knobs for headlights, wiper/washer, top control, radio knobs are all incorrect. Turn signal lever is also wrong. Pedals look to be circa 1963-1964 Mopar, not correct for 1960 but they look neat. Yes, I'll take it if no one bids and he wants to give it to a good home :-)

It looks like the real bidding ended at 50K....shill bidding from there. Nice car, did this car used to belong to Polara Paul?

Just curious... how can you identify the shill bids vs. legit bids?

A top level hard top went for 105ish last year, I don't think the value is that far off

When you have two bidders continuously outbidding themselves ( bidder w/ feedback of 669, and bidder with feedback 212) it almost always means a shill is in the house...especially when the auction is not close to being over, IMO

No. Not my car, which I still have. I think mine is in a lot better shape, and it has the gray all vinyl interior.

Paul I'd love to see some photos of the interior if you have time to post them.I think this is the Best Looking Convertible ever made. You have to love how the top tucks down and in behind those Fins.Sleek, Sporty and Luxury all in a clean swept line.

I was told by someone on facebook that the convertible on ebay was a re-body from a '63-'64 Chrysler. They used a '60 4dr Polara and grafted all the parts onto a '63 convertible. He also claimed that the VIN and title were for a 4dr '60 Polara. That would explain some of the '63 parts that can be seen on the car. I don't have any problems with clones like that, but if so, that really should be stated up front or else it is major fraud. Buyer beware.

I'd be curious to know how that guy claims to know the vin number? It wasn't listed in the auction, and a 1960 VIN wouldn't show what body type, just year, make, and model level.
