Don't know if I can upload pictures but I'll try.
We were just contacted by an estate who want to sell a few interesting Mopar cars.
The lady told me her dad drove a very nice 1956 DeSoto Fireflite 4dr into his garage over 30-35 years ago, the car is still sitting in the same spot and since he passed away recently the car is going to be sold.
I could not get to the sides of the DeSoto but it is a PS, PB and Factory A/C car, I have not been able to check if it has PW and P-seat also yet.
We have to move several cars parked outside the garage door before I can see more of the DeSoto.

And outside the garage there's a 1969 Roadrunner 383, 4 speed car her dad drove the last time in 1986 and next to it there's a 1974 Charger, running and driving car.
The Roadrunner is a time machine with cool old aluminum slot mags, racing type exterior mirrors, an 8 track tape player and even a trailer hitch.

In another place on the property there's a 1942 Dodge Power Wagon Suburban style, like a big station wagon, not like a pickup truck. He put a 318 in the Power Wagon and used it for years and it will probably drive again with no problem.

There's a 1950 Packard 4dr car, a -61 Corvair Coupe, -85 Pontiac Fiero and an old Model T fire truck, at least what's left of it.
I'm working on buying the lot if at all possible.
Bo.

We are negotiating with them right now.
The asking prices for the cars are high but I hope to be able to get them down to a reasonable level by buying all cars.

If that does not work out we'll have to leave the cars where they are. Most are good Arizona cars but they have all been sitting for 20-30 years or more except for the 1974 Charger that is running and driving as is.

The power wagon is really cool, I would love to put a Cummins Diesel in it and use it for a shop truck, but we have enough projects already in the shop. They have not given me an asking price on it yet but I'll keep you informed as soon as I know what it will cost to become the new owner.

Bo.

Are you willing to share the contact details if the sale falls through?

Just thinking that if someone else was willing to pay the higher asking price, its better that than leaving it all to rot

This is what I do for a living, buy, sell older cars and restoring older cars (mostly 1957-62 Mopar cars) so I'm going to do everything I can to buy the lot, that is the only way I might be able to make any sense of the purchase.
And I love older Mopar cars so I'd love to get the Roadrunner and the DeSoto and even the Power Wagon is super cool (but it ought to have a Cummins Diesel under the hood, not a 318)!

If I can't make that happen I would considering passing on info.
The cars are not going to sit there for long either way.
The dad passed away recently and the property is going to be cleared out so it can be sold.

It's been a long and rocky road but we did manage to buy the 4 cars finally. A brother was the stumbling block and he did everything he could to get twice what the care were worth and we did pay top dollar for the 4 cars in the end.

As soon as the Roadrunner arrived at the shop and we washed and cleaned the car the first customer who saw it bought it so it is already gone.

The 1974 Charger turns out to be a much better car that expected. We redid the vinyl roof, next we're installing a new headliner and front seat cover but we are not doing much more with the car before putting it up for sale. It runs great and will be ready to sell soon.

My son Frank is probably keeping the 1956 DeSoto Fireflite, his wife Rachel really like the car and they have been looking for a good family 4 dr car for awhile for her to drive to local shows.
She drove a pretty nice 1959 Cadillac 4dr for a while but let's face it, it's gotta be a Mopar!
It has the best, straightest and most rust free old Mopar body I have seen in a long while (except for the 1959 New Yorker convertible we recently bought and sold).
It sat for 33 years in the dark and dry garage here in Arizona until last Friday when we pulled it out and brought it to the shop.
PS, PB, PW but no P-seat, tinted glass, factory A/C plus an additional rear A/C unit! 66.000 miles on the odometer and I expect that is correct. What a great car.

The 1942 Power Wagon might go to Bob Schmidt in Branson Mo. He is in negotiations with a customer to do a Power Wagon on a Dodge Ram Cummins Diesel chassie and show it at SEMA.
If that falls through it will be for sale. I like it and would like to do a Cummins conversion but there's no chance we will ever have the time to do a job like that so we'll pass it on to someone who will actually do something with the truck. It has been sitting for way to long!
Bo.

That Desoto looks great, Bo. Please post a picture once it's all cleaned up. Love to see the interior as well.

Ron
