Many thanks to Nikolas for allowing me to post his conversion on the FL site.

This is going to be the conversion of a 1961 Dodge radio. Nikolas decided to go for a LCD display which is a Microprocessor and display different to the others posted in here before.

Purchased from eBay, this radio was obviously a Junkyard example, I’m pretty sure this radio was under water at some point in time, very dirty and rusted, all the mechanism are locked up including the pushbuttons and obviously not a good candidate to restore to AM condition.

The final goal will be to transform this old forgotten radio to the most significant accessory on the car with all new digital technology. Also a new option suggested by Nikolas was developed and tested and it will be added.

You are welcome Denis! I am really looking forward to this cool new radio. And thanks for the nice contact and keeping me up to date.
Next weekend I will start to install the speakers.

With the new radio my Polara "only" needs a working left/rear power window motor and a new paint job and she is what I would call perfect. :-)
