Subject: 56 DeSoto tail pipe installation woes

I crawled under the car thinking this was going to be a 2 second job. Turns out, I can't get them over the axle. Am I going to have to cut them and piece them back together? I can't see any other way. Help please. Thanks.

You need to get the car up on a hoist and unload the suspension, maybe even have to unbolt the shocks.
