Whazzup with this "Z-50" stuff? I think someone had a few chrome letters left over from some project, and attached 'em to the rear fenders of this car. here's the description as given on eBay:
here's a good parts car, 1956 chrysler windsor, is equipped with the Z50 powerpack-spitfire engine. Condition is unkown, it has been sitting for years. We were told it was running and driving when parked. Lots of good parts or restorable. No keys but we do have a clear title. Odometer shows 80,000. The tag on the drivers doorjam says W56L6393, and the tag on the firewall reads 621 0218 C71 025 237 038.
We can load onto any truck or trailer.
update::: we just had keys made for this car and upon hooking up a new battery, primed the carb with gas the engine started on the first turn. motor runs strong but needs a tune-up, no engine noises and has good oil pressure by the gauge. transmission engages.

| It was actually the TWO-FIFTY option, not "Z50"... which, I believe indicated horsepower rating.
Though I'm sure there's someone on here that knows far more about that stuff than me.

-NM You are right Nate That is 250 even tho it looks like a Z. This was called the Power Pac option and produced 250 HP with the 331 Cu. In. polyhead engine. I sure would like a nice pair of those emblems and the V's to replace my pitted ones...........................MO |
