I need a new motor mount and have only found those that fit the 1959 Firesweep. I have a Firedome with the BB 383, will these not work for it? Thanks as always for your input!

Hola Lisa

As you know The Firesweep is a Dodge with De Soto Markings.

If it was I --- and I had only one motor mount that fit my vehicle ---- I would put it on the hardest side to get to.

The De Soto and All Chrysler's use the same Left or all Right Motor Support Bracket.

Only one insulator part number listed for 1959 DeSoto...1944724
Only one 'can' listed for 1959 DeSoto...1737732

If it fits one then it must fit the other.....

Thanks for the replies everyone. Yesterday I was doing hot laps around the countryside. When I popped the hood after getting home, I noticed the engine was sitting higher on one side. It turns out the driver's side mount was coming apart. I suspected as much since I had never been able to tighten it up as much as the passenger side. The bolt just turns inside the rubber. Thanks again!
