Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | Oh; missed seeing this one: 2142: standard V/8 engine Coronet 2-dr "Club Coupe" sedan. Trim: Custom Coronet style(extra Mylar trim on upper trim panels, notched upper seat backs, and fluted vinyl on upper seat back areas, in Gold/Black motif. The Custom Coronet TRM option also included "color-coordinated" rubber floor mats, but, since your car has the Gold/Black motif, the floor mats are the same black-rubber as the Standard Coronets have in them. Are there any 'big' numbers stamped across the top area of your LA-built car? Have you looked-checked (carefully!) up/behind the glove box to see if a Broadcast Sheet might be masking-taped there?

Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | Hello; just responded to your engine inquiry on your other thread, on this board. 2146 is the Coronet 2-door hardtop model. Your car may have the standard 2-bbl/single exhaust system, or, it could have the optional twin-pipes, or it could have the "Power Package", which would include the twice-pipes and a 4-bbl carburetor. Your car DOES have, however, the optional "Custom Coronet" interior package, in Green. The Custom Coronet interior option would include color-coordinated (Green, in your car) rubber floor mats (IF the rubber mats are still there, please PROTECT them, as they are very valuable; nobody re-pops them), unique "Star Dot" cloth upholstery, with 'embossed-pleats' in the center areas ("Bolsters", according to the advertisement-descriptions of those areas), and with both seats having notched-down center sections (the standard models have straight-backed seat tops). Also, your car has 'wide' sections of chrome-Mylar trim running across the upper areas of the door and quarter trim panels. And, the front seat is foam-padded. Please post up some images of your car over on our Member's Rides message board.

The "61" through "80", read vertically, are the first two digits of the sales code. The number under any column forming a three digit number is a complete sales code. For example, if the "3" is under the "29", the sales code is "293" But we have a problem with proportional spacing. Which is to say the blank space takes up less room on a line than the number 5, for example. In the original post it looked like the sales codes are 293, 315, 221, 359, 375, 392, and 414 as it appears there is one space between each number. But, when I copied into my reply above, the spacing is completely different, although they will look exactly the way they appeared in your post when you read this. Sales codes appear to the 293, 395, 421, 469, 485, 502, 524 or 584. Could you please give us just the three digit columns? Thanks.

Exner Expert 19,174 posts. Neil passed away 18 Sep 2015. You will be missed, Neil! Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | "We" do not have a proportional spacing problem with this car's P/T plate (as long as the numbers are in proper sequencing). In NO particular order, this car is coded as having been delivered by Truck, to its dealership; it has power windows(!!) on the front doors; the quarter windows are flip out; it has power brakes; undercoating; the Appearance option group: 2-tone steering wheel, stone shields, and the full-but-plain wheel covers; and the Radio Option Group: push-button radio, left O.S. mirror, inside Day/Nite mirror, and back-up lights, and, it's got the TorqueFlite trannie. BTW, the(se) option-numbers, as appear on the P/T plate, are NOT represented by the car's actual "sales codes" as mentioned, above. Again, your car's complete numbers-listings of its options will be displayed on the IBM build card, but, the IBM card will not, necessarily, provide plain-language descriptions of all of your car's build-items/features. I have been able to decypher 57-58 Dodge's build-options (and some/most of the 55-56, and 59-61) as is shown on their P/T plates, from many years' observations of many of these cars' documentations.
