I plan to rebuild my 361. Can anyuone recommend the highest compression ratio that will run on 93 octane?

my 59 dodge runs fine on 93oc. 10 to1 compression.
its a 383, but basically the same thing as the 361.

if i were you, i wouldnt go over 10 to 1. running additives can get expensive.

Instead of going for the highest compression ratio that you can get out of what ever octain try going for the best package of power at road speed. Get some newer heads that have six valve cover bolts instead of your four and the OEM four barrel manifold for any 361 / 383 or 400. For the exhaust system use the diameter of the exhaust manifold out-let size into The "X" ( not "H" ) and keep this diameter to the rear. MoPar's RV cam or the restro cam for the TNT etc engine is also a good buck.
